This is the seventh Wimshurst Machine I have made. This one was commissioned machine for good friend in Australia… (shipping was crazy high from the USA!)

The machine is made of White Oak and I used an Ammonia Fuming Process to darken the oak. This worked exceptionally well!

Here’s a video I made of the fuming process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Jti-udZ334

Here’s a video of the machine in action: https://youtu.be/_fG_BzxN5Fs

A video showing the entire machine: https://youtu.be/lWEq-803TEs

And finally a video made by the proud new owner I think he was very happy! (This video MADE MY DAY! good video too!)

Neat build, I like the design and the fumed oak.

This is a real eye catcher and a fine conversation piece. You did a fine job on it.
