I still need to make the mounting brackets but other than that it’s done. I’ve had a lot of good response on the websites that I’ve advertised the auction on so keep your fingers crossed.

The auction is live on ebay. I listed it to start at $400 as suggested by eBay guru Dan

Thanks all. I’m a little nervous with the $400 starting bid. No action yet. I was thinking starting it at $200 might get more bidders. What do you think Dan?

The listing was $5 and change but then they get a piece of the final price too.

Bob

Let it roll with the $400 dollars. If it doesn’t get a bid, then it is only $5. You can always relist and try another angle.
You can add additional photos to your ebay auction via photobucket, ie, the woodworkers save the chidren posters etc.

Hehe….that’s my brother! I told him I was already making him another and that it would have artwork on it but he wanted to bid anyway.

I dropped the opening bid to $200. When I looked at the shipping to places like Hawaii and Calif. (likely destinations, $125) it just made sense. We’ll see where it goes. I’ve had a few folks tell me they are planning on bidding. Someone on the east coast might bid it up because of the lesser cost of shipping. I might even deliver it myself if it’s within 100 miles or so.

Hi Mike,

It’s pyrography. I did a pencil sketch of the whales 1st then burned over them.
