Butcher Block Island

One day while having dinner at Dustin’s we talked about an island for the kitchen. Well i opened my mouth and said a butcher block top with a small over hang for a couple of stools would be cool. Never tried such a top before made this quite a challenge. Using 4×4’s planed and glued together then cut 1 1/4 in thick and glued to a 5/8 sheet of plywood gave me the look i wanted. The i made the cabinet to match the rest that I made previously. Came out pretty good. Thanks for looking..

Very nice. That color combo really works.

I did something similar, but problem I ran into is now she wants me to replace ALL the countertops with BB.
