Back in the 90’s I did a private dinner party for the then mayor of Mckinney TX. I made some good money, which after splitting half with my lovely wife, I bought the PC 690 router kit combo. Learning to use my new router I built a stool similar to the one pictured above out of birch ply for my new and growing family. My only design error was that it was a bit taller than wide and tended to tip, which dinged the bloody hell out of the cabinet doors and at least one of the kids. I had three friends some 12 years later whom were all expecting their first born about the same time. I made three of these stools from sanaply with an oak edge wrap and mahogany plugs to cover the screws. Funny when you compare then to now work, how rewarding it can be.
