This was a simple project using plywood with mahoggany hardwood borders. Base frame is pine with all screw holes plugged with walnut button plugs for contrast. The one unique aspect was a strip of LED lights inlaid into the underside of the shelf. They are on a remote control and can be adjusted for different colors and patterns as well. My wife had some small gold plated coins with angels on them so I had to hide a punch through with a drill so I inlaid the coins on each side of the desk top. Not exactly in the original design but they added a nice touch- Hey it made my wife happy so all is not lost. My son thinks it’s a cool desk so I guess I have a winner. Thanks for looking
