This was inspired by this= piece. However, it is for our bedroom and we have a high mattress and box spring so I had to make it taller so the remote would be able to “see” the cable box and the DVD player. Hence 4 drawers instead of just 2. It measures 48”w x 36.5”h x 18”d. The finish is Minwax Mission Oak with 2 coats of Arm-R-Seal. I was never able to get my DT jig for the drawers adjusted to my satisfaction, so they ended up being simple lock rabbet joints. I used Accuride side mount full extension slides. The verticals are attached to the top with siding dovetails. I used Old Brown Glue for the long open time it provides to accomplish the rather involved glue up procedure. Thanks for looking.

Very nice project. Sliding dovetails, most impressive.

Beautiful tv stand. Hope the tv doesn’t feel too dowdy sitting on top of that pretty bit of furniture.

Thanks for the compliments.

Steve, we have the TV, just waiting for our son to help me move it. It might be a bit awkward having you hang out in our bedroom however. :0

Dave, if it’s okay with Stickley, it’s okay with me. I’m told we have a table runner to ease the transition.

Another great piece of furniture. You’re going to have to build an addition soon. That is some very nice grain. What species of wood did you use? Form CP Johnson’s?

Art – looks great as usual. It would fit right in in the Stickley section of the local furniture store. . The Stickley catalog is ALWAYS a great place to get ideas for new pieces. Are you going to make any of the the Harvey Ellis pieces?

Again, thanks for the kind words.

Steve, the HOA doesn’t permit additions so I donate older stuff when it gets replaced. The quarter sawn white oak stock was from Talarico in PA. Chris doesn’t keep qswo any more.

Earl, I don’t currently have any plans for anything that would feature inlay which was an Ellis hallmark, maybe someday.

Great work! The grain and rays are artfully placed.
Where did you buy the drawer pulls? They work with the craftsman style.
Congratulations on the top 3 award.
