It’s been a while since I posted a project. I’ve been in and out of the hospital a lot this last month. This box is made from some Hickory I got from the mill close to me. I started printing out some graph paper, the other day. I decided to just start drawing to see what I could come up with. Well this is the first one. I decided I didn’t want any drawer pulls on it. So I drilled holes in the back to get the drawers open. It’s finished with some danish oil and 2 coats of wipe on poly. Thanks for looking..

Very nice, Tim. I think hickory is a beautiful wood.

Egg-Cell-Ent young sir… Love the idea of holes in the back to push out the drawers. Beautiful wood choice :o)

An original design – well done!

Beautiful timber, agree with degoose – reminds me of “Snoopy”.

You’ve been a busy camper with that new bandsaw and lathe. Just went through part of your gallery. Good looking projects.

That hickory has nice flowing grain that fits the design of box.
