This is a maple slab and log bench (or table) with a live edge. Mortise and tenon construction. The maple slab is about 4.5 feet long 2” thick and about 20 inches wide. The wood is naturally distressed. The finish is tung oil (for outdoor use) and I have only applied one coat of oil so far therefore this is a work in progress. I would have taken more pics but the battery in my camera just died. :( Sorry about the typo earlier. The bench in this photo is maple- not cherry. Cherry is still a work in progress and apparently my brain and fingers weren’t communicating properly. :)

Looks good. Like the bracing on the legs, looks solid.

I will try and capture the gain.. but my camera is worse than a hunk of junk… the photos never really do the wood justice. Ever. :) But I will try. Thanks for the kind words.

came across your table as im looking at all the tables on here, but i remember this when you did it, and i really liked it, dont know why i didnt comment then, but im doing it now, i love live edge pieces…so where did you go to, i dont see you around to much, well i hope your still doing wood work, and raising your pups, ..grizz
