My wife wanted a desk at the entrance to our Kitchen/Family room. There just wasn’t enough room for what she was looking at in the stores. Besides, like all LJ’s; what the thinking is why note build something. So, I cut up some knotty pine that would match her coffee table and started cutting. One thing led to another a presto, I had a message center to screw to the wall.

Incorporated most everything she wanted and added some stuff for me. In this we store phone books, catalogues, pens & paper, the phone, calendars music CD’s ,DVD’s and any other junk that needs a home.

Note the individual mail slots for the family members. (should like to get that down to two “damn Kids”) And of course, one of my toys on top to give it some charater.

This was a fun project of my own design that was fun and rewarding. A real coment getter when friends come to visit.
