Hello All:

Both of these chairs were posted here previously minus the milk paint. My wife helped my son and I out by getting these chairs painted and ready for entry into the 89th Annual WestEnd Fair in Gilbert,PA. My son’s chair is one coat of Lexington Green followed by 2 coats of Soldier Blue. The chair I entered is Barn Red over Salem Red. As you can see in the picture my son took first place while I took a lowly third. I am extremely proud of him and hope he stays interested in this craft. It was great to hear the people complimenting him when we picked up our chairs today. What a great confidence builder!!

Again, congratulations to you both. I had the honor of taking a chair class at the Windsor Insitiute in July with Freddy and his Dad was there to help when needed. It was a pleasure to see a young man learn the skills that are slowly eroding away to Playstation and Twitter.

3rd isn’t so bad .. well, unless your son brings home the 1st .. 2 places better ;)
(I bet you feel better than if it were the other way around).

High praise for both chairs and what a memory and story to share for years to come.
Again – congratulations to the whole family for a job well done

It’s humbling when you realize that your children are growing up. Congratulations to you both.

Thanks to you all! The class we took together to build this chair was a great time and this is just icing on the cake.
