My daughter showed in her first horse show in June. She had just turned six and was rather excited. Well she did well and we decided we needed to make a display for these ribbons and hopefully future ribbons and maybe a trophy!!!
The project is made of Oak I logged and had milled. The shoes are from the farrier we use and they are attached with cut horseshoe nails, slightly over-sized but they make the point. The finish is boiled linseed oil and poly. Attached to the wall with screws in milled slots in the back.
My daughter helped design and sand the project along with apply some finish. She picked the color for the shoes too. We had fun and she says she likes the finished project.
Thanks for looking.
Her little sister showed too, so I’d better get started on another.

You’re gonna need more pegs than that or some add-ons… Nice design. ;0)

Thanks Jack,
I think you are right, maybe we’ll just keep the favorite on the pegs. The way she’s going with the horse I could be busy in the shop.
Later, BTKS
