This is an Intarsia Horse base on Kate wise design

To create this Horse is necessary a few tools, and a lot of patience.

First I started, sanding and preparing the wood (I used a 3/4 pine), print the design and glue on the wood pieces.

I used a scrollsaw (my favorite tool, it’s allow cut with pressition), to cut the wood and be sure that match all the pieces. This is the easiest part. Later start the hard work, start to sanding and molding the horse. I have a band sander but only use it to the molding, for the small (and not to small) details, I like to sand by hand.

Later o sandig and sanding and more sanding, i was happy con the final result.

I know that for intarsia the recomend is used diferent types of wood, I didn’t have the posibility at the moment so i used only one type of wood (pine), So i decided inked the wood.

So the result is that yo can see on the picture!
Please any comment, recomendation, are welcome!

Have a good day!
