Only a temporary set back Mike. I am sure you will be back to turning faster than a speeding spindle.

Nice work Mike, the bowls came out great. I especially like the stemmed vessel. What did you use for a finish?

I just bought a Tulipwood bowl blank. I am taking inspiration from your turnings. I am also interested in what you finished with.

Great turnings – especially like the enclosed from in the front of the first picture – it sings!

The enclosed vessel in the front was osage orange and I just put Waterlox and wipe on poly on it. The stemmed vessel I used cherry stain (it was cherry wood) and poly wipe 3 or 4 coats and buffed with steel wool. The middle one was a walnut crotch that I just put waterlox and wipe on poly.
