Lathe stand

Hi Jocks,

Didn’t get a lot done in the shop this year. Did a few things for the shop, though. I got this lathe almost 18 months ago and finally built a stand for it and the rest of the fun things that go with it last summer. The shelf below wasn’t very well thought out but it sure catches shavings nicely. The 2nd photo shows the simple cantilever to put it up on the wheels. Everything in my shop MUST be portable with very few exceptions and this was my solution on this little project. Thanks for looking.

Clever lifting mechanism for the casters. I like having everything handy as well.

That’s a well made lathe stand. The tool rack is nicely placed and that mobile setup is perfect. Looks like a tight squeeze to remove the tailstock.
