I finally canoed the creek that borders my property. It was the trip from hell, too many logjams. The first picture is where I finished the trip, the second one was the beginning of the trip on my property. The canoe held up better than I did. But all in all it was a great 6 hours spent on one of my bucket list items.

Nicely done. A hellish day in a canoe is still better then a heavenly day in a traffic jam.

I can think of MUCH worse ways to spend 6 hours! You are blessed to have that creek on your property.

yea im thinking that anyone who can take a 6 hour trip on there property in a stream…has got some pretty nice blessings going there…but…now to the trip…can you take a small chainsaw with you next time and work the jams out…are they beaver created…or just fallen tree’s..if there beaver jams…that that is a problem…beavers are not easy to get rid off…they are very persistent..but glad you got the trip under your belt…grizz

Goodness, I mislead you all. I only have 5 acres, so the part by my place only took a min or two.
In reply to TopamaxSurvivor, this was a canoe that I built about 25 yrs ago and was testing it out for longevity. Check my project photos for earlier canoe photos.
Thanks for all the comments.

If you can find a good canoe partner, those log jams and other obstacles are a lot easier. Finding a good canoe
partner, hunting partner can be a lifetime project though. I am glad you were able to enjoy your canoe.

Nice canoe. She seems to be aging gracefully.
I built one this spring. We’re still getting to know each other.

That yacht looks great. It’s a Big boy. I love making them. I made 3 in my life time. Although I will never go in one again. Last time I got cornered by a 12’ alligator. No more for me. Great job.
