While working on a way to cut box joint type fingers, I came up with the following idea to make Box Joints using my 5 min Kerf Maker and my sled.

When doing woodwork and also in general I try to keep to the KIS principle (Keep It Simple!!!!)
With my Box Joint Jigs I have broken this principle every time! My 1st Digital Box Joint Jig was quite complex and the Single Blade Box Joint Jig after that, although less complex was still not simple and straight forward.

With this technique (I don’t think I should call it a Jig) using my 5 min Kerf Maker and my sled I come closer to the KIS principle to make box joints.

See my blog Easy Box Joints - How to for an explanation on how it works

Thanks for taking a look.

For a long time I am thinking about buidling or buying a table saw. In the meantime, I watch out for several homemade jigs and accessories. If I finally get my tablesaw, I really have to try this method. Thanks a lot for sharing!
