Hey there this is my second project post just wanted to know what you all think of it. Was in need of a new sofa and decided to attempt making a one of a kind. Pine/spruce/oak dowels. Used a heady duty cardboard to spray glue the fabric down and furniture tacks to pin it to the body. Bought the foam mattress first and based all measurements around it. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for the support.

I like it – cool look.
If you doweled the back to the base, I predict that over time, the back will come loose. Most of the weight against the back will be at the top, when people sit down and flop back and their back hits the top of the frame, since the pillows will compress and allow that to happen.

Thanks for the comment. The back is not doweled to the base. Only the main frame is doweled together. The back and side of frame are half lapped glued and screwed. I was worried about movement but so far its still as rigid as day one…mind you I have no kids….yet! Thanks again for the comment.
