I made this shadowbox for a friend who lost two of her feline friends due to old age and illness. The frame is approximately 10 3/8” x 21”. The box and frame are constructed from cherry and the keys in the corners are maple. I routed a groove into the top of the box for the glass and one in the rear to accept a ¼” plywood panel. A piece of faux velvet mat board was glued to the plywood as a background for the box’s contents. I drilled holes from front to rear through the ½” sides of the box so that screws could be used to attach the frame. This will allow for disassembly in case the glass would ever be broken.

Thanks for looking!
