Just so you guy don’t think I don’t get in any shop time, I thought I’d post this.
It’s actually the first project I did for money. I took an existing head-board and foot-board and put them together to make a nice foot-board with a TV lift built in.
It fits a 50” plasma TV. I thought that it’s a little too big to be at your feet, but that what he ordered.
I basically add 6 ” in between and mounted everything to work correctly. Matching the wood and color was a chore. The thing was made in Vietnam, so I had no idea what kind of wood it is.
Anyway that it.

What kind of lift is it? I’m going to make something like this for my gameroom and have been shopping around for lifts.

Been asked to make a bed for my daughter. That gives me some ideas. Thanks Gary.

Sweet.
That would be a huge screen looking me right in the face. I could look right up Anderson Cooper’s nose.
Nice build,

Very well done. Someone else already asked, What kind of lift did you use? I wanted to do something similar with a smaller TV and some sort of linear actuator.

very nice! I can’t imagine trying to watch a 50” TV though while only 6’ away in bed.

I’d think it would be like watching a movie in the theater while sitting in the front row. I’m glad to see you made time to get back to the shop. I waas beginning to wonder if you had disappeared. Great job!!

Excellent work on the revamp and congratulations on your first paying piece.
I’m not one to watch TV in bed, but I’m also curious about which lift system you chose for this piece, especially considering it’s a plasma TV (heavy) and not an LCD TV (lighter)?
Do you happen to have any “before” pictures so we can see what you started with?
