This is my first attempt at carving with my dremel. It’s for the people two spots down from me in our RV park. I’m pretty proud of it! The wood is cedar and the black is acrylic paint and black permanent marker. Finished with Danish oil because I was told any hard drying surface will peel off of cedar.

pretty cool job there.. It’s a wonder the oil finish didn’t make the black permanent marker bleed or travel. A learning lesson for me, as well. I”m wondering if the Maloof style finish of BLO/MS/Poly would work well in an environment such as that. All in all.. Nicely Done!

This is great! I have just started trying to utilize my Dremel as well but I’m nowhere as good as you! I’m totally envious and I’m hoping there are more examples you have done.

Great looking sing, Patty. It was nice seeing it in person. Looks like you have lots of business here in the High Chaparral!!
