My wife needed a large picnic table for the kids home school group that meets every Friday. Certainly could have been done far less expensively but I like the way it looks. It is all red cedar with a weatherproof stain. Dims are 60×60. Benches are same design 20×60. Seats 12 adults and 16 – 20 kids.

Excellent design. Any spilled drinks will just be watering the grass and plants below.

Cool. Good looking table. That’s a big chunk of cedar.

Great table. love the design. As I looked at it a light bulb went on. I have been trying to figure out how to do a large air return grill in my dining room floor. This is it! I will back bevel the slats to allow more air flow. Thanks, Cliff.

SPalm – I had no idea when I started this how much cedar it would actually take nor was I aware that there was a strike in Canada by lumberjacks that had caused cedar prices to go up more than 48% here in Indiana. Oh well, at least I won’t have any of my wifes friends wanting me to build one for them once they find out the cost of the lumber alone.

Great Table Cliff. A very nice design.
Add some tags to the project so that it can be found again. like cedar, picnic table, etc.

Great looking table. How long did it take to make it?

Great table Cliff, cedar is one of my favorites.
Is it me or are the tables around here getting bigger by the day?
