Very nice!

Nice! Welcome to LumberJocks. Did you start with plans? If so, where did you get them? I’ve lived in the Seattle area for several years now and I see drift boats everywhere.

Nice drift boat. Where’s the fly rods? I’m curious what river you are on? My dad lives in WY and does a lot of fly fishing all over the state and MT.

I purchased plans from Montana boat builders years ago. When i finally got around to building this i did modify them extensively… i increased the rocker, eliminated a lot of the plans cabinetry and modified the anchor system. the boat ended up weighing less than my old Hyde and is much more fun. this was made from Okuma marine ply and steamed white oak, and mahogany. the finish is Epifanes marine varnish over the fiberglass. This pic was taken on the Green River in Wyoming. These are 6 of my Seven daughters and one granddaughter.

Awesome, the only problem I can see is that you haven’t posted enough pictures of it.
More pictures please, Id love to see inside the hull and also pics of the construction process.
Great Boat.

Anthony

That’s a great looking drift boat—I’m sure you and your family will get a lot of enjoyment from it!
