Was cleaning out one of my cabinets and ran across the brass ice cream scoop kit. Not sure where I got it or how long it has been laying around but decided to make a handle for it. While at Rockler Woodworking I ran across a piece of canary wood that was cracked and had a big chunk missing from a knot that fell out. It was in the by the lb box so figure I could make use of it. Broke the piece at the crack then built a form to pour some tinted Alumilite. Decided to make it so it can sit on the end, just think it is kinda cool looking. Polished the it to 12000 grit micro mesh.

You did a very nice job on this handle and the bringing of the scoop back to life. Nice work!

Beautiful. I wish I could figure out (or you could remember) where you got that kit from. I really like the brass version.
