I found this piece of wood in the woods a while ago and brought it home to do something with it so I went to the forge and made the base at first I thought it would be a coffee table and it still can be used that way but I like it better as a small bench The top is oak and the pics don’t show it very well but there is at the fork some burl.

Donald, I’m starting to recognise your work! I really like your metalworking, well done.

Beautiful table! Do you make the bases yourself?

Very Nice!....the iron mongery is superb. Beautiful piece of wood.

I think it does make more sense as a bench although using it as either a bench or coffee table would be acceptable. Metal work and wood go together extremely well in my opinion….

I wish I were talented in that regards….but for me, I am much better off sticking to wood…my welding/metal working skills leave much to be desired.

This is a very nicely made table / bench. The metalwork adds so much to the wooden top . Great job : )

I wonder who left that slab of wood just laying there? ;-)

Nice work!
