Cribbage Coffee Table

Here’s a cribbage coffee table I was asked to make for a Christmas present. I had all freedom for design and color. Made it out of scrap wood I had laying around the shop. The hairpin legs came from another project. If I ever did this again I would make templates for each section and use a guide bushing with my router. But, still a fun and satisfying project.

Sorry to tell you, you have 125 holes in each track. cribbage should be 120.

Hey Jtriggs, you didn’t need to call me out on my feed, you could’ve PM’d me! haha jk. Damn, I counted so many times too, probably slipped it when I was trying to figure out how to space all of it. Well, it’s a good thing these people REALLY love cribbage, it’ll give them more playing time… But, thanks for letting me know. Next I do that i’ll make sure to pay attention to my hole counts. And I was only playing in my first comment! Anyway, have a great day.

Sammy,
I hesitated saying anything. I make a lot of cribbage boards myself and until I got my process down, I must have counted a hundred times to be sure I had it right.

I like the idea for you table. What are you using as pegs?

Take a look at some of my boards in my projects. I specialize in making them in the shape of various states.

Nice boards Jon! I was on a time crunch and didn’t have time to make some and saw these shelf pegs. Also, they wanted it dark (dark walnut) but it took too much away from the game and I suggested we change the color. I couldn’t get the dark stain out from the holes, so that’s why you see those bleed marks. Makes it look “rustic” though haha. And Thanks Charles!

That board doesn’t have too many holes… those are places to keep track of who’s winning the games! lol. Nice table!

Have your say...
