Well, Wendy’s at that age where she wants to brush her own teeth and wash her own hands. So there! That’s where the Pop-Pop steps in. I recalled seeing the very nice little stool that Festus56 had made and also the equally nice little stool that doubleDD had made, so I embarked on the step stool / chair journey. doubleDD was kind enough to provide some dimensions and details and after a few minor modifications this is what I came up with. It’s pine so she can drag it around without a whole lot of strain. It’s glued and pocket screwed together. The pivot pins are oak so they should last a while. Her Mom likes the shabby chic / distressed look so it’s finished in dark walnut Watco Danish Oil without any grain / sanding sealing.

Thanks Festus56 for the inspiration and Thanks doubleDD for the direction.

Nice work Pop-pop. I’m sure she’ll love it.
