Hi there I finished this chair 2 day’s ago and I’m very pleased with how it cam out, and the cedar was easy to work with and made a great project. Personal I don’t think it came out bad for a first chair. The woods I used were cedar and walnut dowls. The project took me three days (6 hour days. The chair is finished with Boiled Len Seed oil. Was thinking about making this chair shiny, but got the liking to the smooth finish. Hope you enjoy..
Thanks for looking…

Nice job. I like the choice of wood, too. How does it sit?

It sets really good, I wanted to shape the seat , but just did not happen. It was funny when I sate in the chair for the first time It made the worst shrick sound ,and I thought to myself I killed the chair, but after that it became a quit chair. (I only way 110 lbs….)

That sure is a nice looking chair. How did you find the time to build it and still keep your shop so clean?

Nice! I love cedar, and have even left it unfinished. Good catch on the shop, Dustin, he probably doesn’t have a clothes dryer in his. Those dust bunnies can ruin any shop…like my sawdust doesn’t make a mess.

Michael, I think that you have done an excellent job on this chair. Keep up the good work and you’ll be a master before you know it. Hope your grandpa is well and I know that he must be even prouder of you everyday.
