For my first project on LJ, I decided to post the quilt rack that I built for my mother’s birthday. I used the plans from Woodsmith Issue #166. This is the first project I have worked on since I got my new table saw, and I am enjoying the improved accuracy of a heavier and newer saw (3/4 cabinet saw vs a contractor saw). The angled mortises drilled and finished with a chisel (using an angled block as a guide) on the stretchers were a challenge, but after the first two, I got the hang of it.

I love the design and the grain of the wood you chose is beautiful.
