I had a few more 8/4 cherry boards pulled from my buddies grandpas garage and we decided on an entryway bench… He found a design online and I went from there. Built with mostly fox tenon joinery and twin through tenons on the stretcher. Dimensioned all the pieces with machinery, all joinery done by hand.
What a fun project.
Sprayed poly finish… just learning to spray, but i was very pleased with the results.

That came our great. Beautiful cherry and a great design. I like the foxed tenons.

When I saw the really nice cherry bench made for a friend; First thing that came to my mind was,
What a lucky friend you have!

Second thought was:
Can I be your friend and When do I get mine? HaHa
