Great carving – I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter books and films. For this one maybe you should consider a stain that has a slight green tint – Voldemort was a Slytherin who spoke Parseltongue so making him look more snake-like would be appropriate.

Very nice project!!!
Danish oil [dark walnut] to bring out the shadows of the face.
If your like me I have all 3 shades so darken the face and outer rob and then lighter for the inner.
Just my $.02

I agree with leaf herder – a slightly green tint to the finish would be appropriate. Excellent carving!
