I made a multicolored cheese slicer using the jigs in the photos. The tablesaw sled is use to cut an angle across the board it has an eighth inch strip across the back and a stop set at three inches. The drill press jig holds the board at 90 degrees a the other board is clamped on to keep the wood from splitting out. When making them earlier I had problems with the wood splitting sometimes. The wood clamped on the jig cured the issue.

Yes they work great. I have made over thirty of them. The woodworking club has sold about 400 kits. I taught drafting at the local Vocational School for a seven week fill in and drew a working drawing for them. The angle cut for the wire isn’t required but it keeps the handle from hitting the table. I use a thin rip blade to cut the groove.

Nice, what’s the size of the board in the picture and what do you sell them for?

The boards are 3/4” x 5 3/4×9. A 1/4” hole is drill 5” from the side on the end 1/4”down from top side and a groove is cut 3” from the end. I don’t sell mine relatives and friends get them. Guys at the club sell them for thirty to sixty dollars. The price is determined by the type of wood and venue they are at.
