Very cool…was it a kit or your design???

Looks very nice….I would be interested in how you built it, was it a kit….?

I used plans I purchased at It was $39 I believe for 5 different plans and well worth the cost in my opinion. Being a total noob to cnc there was a bit of a learning curve and I have found it very interesting. I still have a lot to learn especially on the software side of things. If you have a fair knowledge of machine work and a drill stand along with hand tools you can build one of these took me about 2 months off and on. Thanks for the kind words and happy scrap making.

Very nice looking machine! Looks like you have a decent Z axis with that gantry. What kind of stuff are you looking to make? Be sure to post pictures of your progress…
The website is interesting! Thanks for sharing!

Nice looking machine. I bought the 5-plan set recently and after going back and forth also chose the V-bearing machine design. I plan to expand it a little to a 24” x 48” cutting area. I was curious how you mounted your router to the Z axis (?) Thanks!

I plan on doing mostly relief carving. I decided on the Bosch colt for the router. It’s small and has plenty of power for what I’m doing. The mount is an aluminum clamp type made specifically for the Colt and available at various web sites like ” Instructables” . Thanks for the good words all.
