The front of this birdhouse came from a dead dogwood tree trunk that was cut out of my backyard/woods. The wood had been lying around my shop for over two years. The metal roof was cut out of an old VCR case that I sanded off the paint and dimpled with a ball-peen hammer. I rubbed on some poly and called it done.

Shrub ~ I really like the dogwood front. The couple of times I tried it, I really liked the way Dogwood works. I wouldn’t have thought of using the end grain like that… it gives it a cool effect. Good work!
-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)
