This is an experiment in woodburning and coloring of a vessel. I like parts of this but think parts can be changed for the better. What kind of critique do you guys have for me?

Always great to play with new ideas & techniques, you haven’t mentioned what type of timber Roper? it may have lent it to being a rich “timber” type stain or dye to show the grain thru to compliment the black pyro. I like your design (form) of the vessel & the flow of the burning, real nice :)
cheers

”I like parts of this but think parts can be changed for the better.”

I like it a lot and wouldn’t change a thing but a project like this can sure put ideas in your head but save them for your next project. LOL

Wow! Roper, this is a beautiful vessel and you did a fine job on it.
