Project Information
I've been a big fan of Norm's show for a long time. This is the first project that of his that I purchased and decided to tackle once I got comfortable with some basic tools I had and only needed to purchase a couple more to get going on this. So to turn 300 bucks worth of treated wood to saw dust I needed to spend 1000 bucks on a band saw and planer. After about a month of getting acqauinted with them I started and about two months later I had it planted. Funny how Norm was only able to build this in two days. Showoff.
I learned quite a bit. Setting up the jigs for cutting the curves was not covered at all in the video or the plans. I don't remember how I did it now, but it worked.
It's now been in the ground for a year and has held up well. There is only a coat of primer on the fence and gate. Maybe next year I'll get around to painting it.
