This is a solid oak dvd shelf l made for my son, his dvd collection out grew the pine unit l made last fall.
He only has room for 26 dvd’s on new shelf, now going to attempt to sand pine unit and match with stain on oak unit l hope.

Hey Jim, The DVD case came out great. Make a gift of the pine one and make another oak one, lol Rand

Thanks Rand, first thing l made from oak, sure frustrated me l am my own worse critic.
I think l need a better table saw for making oak products for now a good quality blade.
My table saw is a craftsman, not sure though if a better quality table saw would do much any suggestions?
But as long as my son is content and happy with it is all that really matters, even though l am disappointed with it.

The problem is l have to use up the aprox. 150 bd ft of solid oak left, l think will try next one with plywood lol.
Thanks for your compliment Rand and for your advice/help in problem l had doing it.

Hey Jim,

Nice job on this

Looks like you’ll be building one even bigger, pretty soon.

Lee, thanks for the compliment, not sure if l could build bigger one, this being solid oak was big and heavey to handle moving it around.
But who knows have got enough people wanting solid wood oak mainly shelves, coffee end table sets just not sure if l want to do in oak pine much lighter to lift lol
thanks again Lee good to get compliments from you pro’s am greatful
