It may not be everyone’s taste.

I’m working with the pupils on the French Revolution, they discovered the Guillotine and were half scared, half fascinated by the apparatus. I had the idea to build a little one, more an evocation than a replica. When finished, I gave it away to a drawn pupil.

First the parts were cut on the cnc: img2

Then the dry fitting. It gives you the scale:img3

Glued, painted, weathered. The stand, is supposed to imitate the paved stone walkway of Paris but the pattern is too much square, it looks more like chocolate than pavement. img4

And finally I tried to simulate the wear and the heterogeneity with the paint. I sprayed a semi glossy finish, so the pavement shines a little bit like when the rain just stopped. img5

Yea! That’s awesome. Very creative, and accurate. I like MTSabbath’s idea!
