I made these Adirondack Chairs out of treated lumber which I stained. The chair design came out of Handy Man magazine were they were called Advance Adirondack Chairs. they were not to hard to make however, it was mostly a lot of curves and tapers in witch I made a tapering jig for. The directions were fairly easy to fallow.
