well this is a different project of sorts, ive been trying to get a certain lumber jock who lives in Florida to come and visit when he was in the area. well lumber jock Dave Owen came to my home where we had a great visit, we had lunch together and i showed Dave my shop, he showed me a instrument had had made and played a part of amazing grace to me and my wife…we had a nice visit and i want to thank Dave for coming to the house and for his great visit..just thought i would post this and encourage you other jocks to meet with others when you get the chance…grizzman

Did you let him try on your dress?? (Just wondering!) That is great to see you guys got together. This is such a great group here and I am so happy to see such wonderful friendships! Thanks for posting the picture!

That’s great Bob It’s so cool when LJ members can get together . I’m so glad that you had a super visit.
I only wish some day I get to meet you and some of my of my other LJs buds in person some day.

that is so nice , dave and grizz .
it’s good to put a face to a buddy ,
and share stories .

i got to meet Tom and Ruth McBridge last week (ND2ELK) ,
for lunch , on their way home to iowa .
they just got home last night .
he will do a post , after they get settled ,
he had the camera , so there should be a picture too .

Great pics and story. I figure there are lots of LJ’s in my area….but they are probably as busy as I am. It would be wonderful to meet some of them. I enjoy talking wood and shop with folks that share this passion. Also, my better half gets tired of me telling her all the wood working tales and tool tales….she has already heard them….or just hopes that someone will rescue her….LOL.

Real nice Griz, and Dave, I love amazing grace. There are now a lot of new variations of that song, but the
original is best!!!! I am glad you guys had time to meet and talk shop!!!!
