A little (6”x6”) box to hold some Christmas goodies we are shipping to one of our daughters and her hubby. He is in the Navy, which makes it difficult to send larger presents, so I made this to fill with chocolate and gift cards and send their way.

The box is made with an Ambrosia lid and a Walnut handle, Walnut sides using box joints, and a scrap piece of I-don’t-know-what for the bottom.

I love the Ambrosia lid colors. It go well with the Walnut sides. Your daugther and her Navy hubby will love it and keep it forever. Nice project.

Very nice box. That ambrosia is beautiful. I like the shape and the joinery a lot. The recipients will love it, and what a great idea to fill it with chocolate! I think I will do that when I give a few boxes away for Christmas. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice, GB. I’ll bet they love it. That is some very fine wood and the workmanship is special as well.

Wow, beautiful! The different materials really compliment eachother. This box will be treasured long after the chocolates are gone.
