Found the plans in a Woodsmith Weekend Projects book over a year ago and kept telling myself I would build it soon and get my office desk better organized. Finally got around to it this weekend.

Western maple and black walnut. Mitered and splined corners, finished with three coats of natural colour Danish oil.

A fun project and one which really fills a need, no way I was cluttering my desk with a bunch of plastic crap from Office Depot. I did need to build/re-build three new jigs to complete the build; a mitre sled and two different spline cutting jigs. Those took almost as long as actually building the project.

I remember seeing this project in Woodsmith and I have to say, it looks like you nailed it.
Very nice!
