A Christmas present for the wife. We designed it together to represent her faith and our state (Colorado). I joined 2 slabs of oak together to make the cross and the outer ring. The hardest parts were the trinity triangles which were all hand carved and applying the several different poly shades and paint for the Colorado flag colors. I used poplar for the triangles (easier to carve) and the center C (easier to paint). I had never done a project like this before and it was nice to try something new. Hope this inspires some ideas, thank you!
