Pendants

Pendants that I worked on yesterday have their final finish. (1coat shellac, 3 coats wipe on poly.)

I couldn’t get a decent picture. I had to throw my good ‘photo tent’ away in Ohio before the move. (thought I could make another just like it…ugh). This new fold away new one isn’t cutting it.

There some Bethlehem Olive Wood, Cherry Burl, and Walnut. Hopefully more to come… my little mandrel got bent… working on a new one.

Karen (wife) will dress these up with the necklace stuff. (I’m so technical.)

Those are so wonderful – how do you shape them? -when i’ve made pendants, i used the grinder with a sanding pad -they came out alright (not like those!) but my fingers didn’t.

Great variety of wood. Lots of nice colors and grain. Would also like to know how you hang onto them to shape.

Keep it up.

I really like this idea. Love to see it all finished with the “necklace stuff”!!!!! Are the pattern ones natural? It looks as tho they are engraved or carved.
Very nice.

Very nice looking pendants. I too would like to see how your wife dresses them up.

here is a tutorial I have used in the past when making my own for those interested.

Those are Pretty! I am working on some pendants now, I don’t know how mine will turn out.
I would like to know more about how you shape these also.
Please post when they are finished.
Great Work! Thanks for sharing.

Nice pendants. Are they turned or cut flat and shaped?
