I just discovered that I hadn’t posted this carving.

It’s carved on a 5 1/2” X 8” piece of Basswood I used a wood burner on the feathers.

Most of the brown marks of the burner tip have faded away over the years.

I think it looks better now. The Reason it faded is, I guess didn’t seal it good enough.

Lovely work, Dick.

From this displaced Canuck, you might be interested to know that the term “Canadian Geese”, though commonly used, is technically incorrect. The species is properly called Canada Goose [singular] or Canada Geese [plural], from the Latin species name, Branta canadensis.
