I was poking around at the lumber yard a few weeks ago, and I found this weirdly figured board of maple.
it wasn’t terribly substantial, but I figured there was enough to chop up and make a ridiculous lookin’ cutting board… so, that’s what I did.
I wanted to be more creative with the design, but given how weird (and green) the maple was, nothing seemed to work…

Nice board. May I make a suggestion. You might want to round over the edges next time, it will help to not get any splinters, and it does add to the looks a bit. But once again good looking board.

eagle1 – i actually put 3/8” rounds on the edges of all of my boards… but i’m always too impatient and post them out here before i get to that stage… but i agree, i love the look and feel of the round edges.
