I haven’t posted anything in awhile, but I have been trying to find a satisfactory way of storing my Incra sled. I wasn’t happy about setting it on the floor (carefully of course). I tried to do some searches online, and some utilized the holes in the sled and used hooks in the wall to hang it. Ideally I wanted to store it in a horizontal position and near my table saw of course. A horizontal position would take up a lot of space, so after some thinking, this is what I came up with. It’s easy to store it and grab it when I need it. The main surface is 3/4 baltic birch ply and the cleat at the bottom that keeps it from sliding off is 1/4 hard maple glued and screwed. I’m not sure what the exact angle from the wall is, as I kind of eyed it to suit my purposes. The whole unit is lagged into 2 studs with 4 inch lag screws. I just wanted to be able to grab it easily since the sled is not terribly light and I didn’t want to do anything to upset the squareness of the fence. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Oooo, Thank you. Haven’t taken mine out of the box yet, (just finished setup of the saw a few days ago) but have been wondering what to do myself. Great idea, and I have just the spot on the wall for it.

Happy New Year.

I need to do the same thing for my Incra sled. (Same model). I’m tired of all of my tablesaw jigs getting underfoot stacked in the corner against the wall.

Good idea.

My shop is so small I have to go outside to change my mind.

Wall space in a shop is always sought after especially in a case like this sled. It’s a great place to store it.
