A Box for my grandson’s treasures. He is a big batman fan. Some splines and scroll saw work to fancy it up a bit. Hickory, Walnut, Poplar, Oak, and Cherry. The finish is several coats of shellac. Now what to put in it.

Nice work John. I’m sure that he’ll be making good use of his new treasure for years to come.

I guess our grandsons would be enemies John. Mine is a Spider-Man fan. You know…the DC versus Marvel comics thing. Seriously though, that’s a wonderful and handsome gift you gave your grandson. I’m certain he will cherish it for a lifetime. I love the double splines!

Cool box, just fill it with Batman action figures – in original packaging – then bolt the box shut so he can’t play with them, by the time he grows up they may be worth enough to pay for his college tuition. (The Batmobile tricycle I had as a kid in the 1960s is worth big bucks – or it would be if I had never taken it out of the box and ridden it.)

Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!

John, I like the double splines and the over-all design. Nice job. Grandpa projects are the best projects.
