My mother wanted a letter rack, so I rattled one up for her, again chip carved on Lime (Basswood), she seems to be happy with the end result. There are no woodwork joints.The sides are held with wood screws countersunk into the base and then covered with felt.

Very nice.
My mother’s sister was also an Irene. So it must be an older family name. All the children were named after relatives.
