My niece had gave birth to a special little boy about nine months ago, plus or minus a month, and I promised to make him a rocking horse. Well, a rocking horse is too common for me. So I sent to ” WoodCraftPlans.com” for the pattern of “Beezer The Burro”. I have just finished making Beezer and I have had a great time making him. He is different than anything I have seen. He is all solid wood, heavy and should last for years. Woodcraft has lots of plans for rocking animals, Cow, horses, geraffe and others. I will be getting more plans a make some of the others for my grand children. “Woodcraft, I give you two thumbs up.”

I love that rocking horse!! great job on it. Reminds me of holding on to those hame knobs when i was a itty bitty little kid. My legs stuck straight out on my dad’s Belgin work horse, Roanny ;-)) I rode up there when he was workig in the field and mom was at work as a nurse.

Beautiful looking rocker! I’m in the process of making the same rocker and was wondering what type of material did you use for the mane?

Macrame – Craft Cord…. for the mane
Cut to length and take the cord apart & brush out with a hair brush. the last one I built I used black cord and put one strand of white in…. really looked great.
