I like the look of this table. I wish I knew more about it.

I can see the zebrawood on the top. It looks like a maple surround on the top. What are the legs and lower shelf made of? How did you accommodate for wood movement in the top? How did you finish it?

I’m guessing it is zebrawood and curly/tiger maple, nothing else (other than maybe some regular maple)?

Tell us more about it please!

How’d you finish it?

A strikingly bold piece of furniture with the wood you chose!

wow thanks for all the kudos,as jonathan said it all zebra wood and tiger maple, and alittle rosewood .it was realy ment to compliment an entertainment center that we build in the wall out of zebra wood.(have not posted pictures of that yet but will.) the legs are solid zebra with a beaded edge and conected to the strecther with mortice and tenon the bottom is tiger maple put together with pocket hole jointery, the top is tiger maple wraped around the zebra with a rosewood inlay.it is connected with a rabbit on the inside strechers and cleats screwed to the underside of the top.and it was finished with laque like 5 coats.
